File Extensions are used by most operating systems to determine what kind of file the computer is looking at.
Unfortunately, sometimes a file is named with the wrong extension at the end. This may confuse the operating system.
Perhaps analyzing the file online would tell you what kind of file it actually is. Then rename with the correct extension.
